Original 1880 4/8 section fold-out paper on linen, Printed in b/w from original drawing by Alexis Mossa ,this Litho was produced by J. Dalmet 7, Rue du Pont, Neuf, Nice. , It shows the fantastic carnival designed by Alexis Mossa. wth original covers, also by Alexis Mossa ( see scan). Condition paper covers , good for age with some staining and written in ink top f corner, "1880 A.D. Pledger. The figures portrayed are NOT exaggerated" , frayed edges, stamp of "A.Mossa" to rear , Contents Good , the odd very minor fox dot & tiny edge nick..... rare , there is a Museum dedicated to Mossa & his son in Nice, as Alexis Mossa invented and re-stared the Nice Carnival ,that is still going strong . postage reduced to UK 1, ,,Europe 2,,,,, all other inc USA 3.. Alexis Mossa restarted the Nice Carnival & was the Inventor of the floats for Niche's Carnival, Alexis Mossa and his son were past-masters in the art of form and colour.

2 Bickham, George Bickham Original Copperplate Engraving From The Universal Penman Theodorick King of the Goths 1734
London George Bickham 1736 Disbound Very Good 25 x 40.5cm Approx. 
George Bickham was the eighteenth century's most famous writing master and engraver. "The Universal Penman" was a collection of fine calligraphy pages to study and try to copy to improve penmanship. Originally published in parts & book form between 1733 and 1741. This example is Theodorick, King of the Goths and also in the engraving is George Bickham 1734. It is a single engraving on hand made paper with watermark, some minor dirt/edge nicks to edge, engraved area mostly very good, a little minor dirt.

3 Hogarth - Cook engraved by Thomas Cook, after a painting by William Hogarth 1803 PRINT; Bambridge on Trial for Murder by a Committee of the House of Commons
London G. & J. Robinson 1803 First Edition Very Good 48.5 x 63cm. Approx 
A rare 1803 edition, as this was the first engraving published, Not to be confused with later editions. Size approx, total 48.5 x 63cm (19" x 24. 3/4" inches) engraved area 39 x 52cm (15 1/4" x 20 1/2" inches). Condition good, has some foxing, mostly visible to edges, the engraved area is a very good sharp image. Published 1803, by G. & J. Robinson, Engraved by Thomas Cook after the original 1729 painting (at present lost) by William Hogarth (1697-1764), ( Hogarth did not publish an engraving). This is the first original engraving published of the painting, Not to be confused with later copies of this engraving. Below engraving is "Bambridge on Trial for Murder by a Committee of the House of Commons. Engraved by T. Cook from an Original Painting by Wm. Hogarth in the pofsefsion (i.e. possession) of Mr Ray, Published June 1st. 1803, by G. & J. Robinson, Paternoster Row, London." of Bambridge being questioned for murdering a prisoner, it shows Thomas Bambridge warder of the Fleet prison trying to explain some of the instruments of torture that were used. (I will also send more details with the engraving). Please note, better than flash photo, a bit darker with more contrast. & due to size will be sent in a tube, or collected by arrangement with fairs I do in London or Norfolk.
