1 Identity of the Religions Called Druidical and Hebrew

First Edition. 4 1/2" x 7 1/4" Approx. 125pages+8 at front+1 publishers ads rear. Original green/black mottled board binding, lacks spine, front detached, rear loose , but generally good with only minor rubbing at edges. Contents are good to very, very tight ,no owner inscriptions, only some additions/alterations mostly at bottom of page. NO Author is given , even on printed letter to The Literary and Philosophical Society of The University of London dated 7th Sept. 1829 that appears after title page. the British Lib. quote no author. The book states it is based from nature objects of their WORSHIP and from careful consideration of certain customs, formerly prevalent in EGYPT, CANAAN, CARTHAGE, BABYLON, PERSIA, ARABIA, "AMERICA", INDIA, GREECE, ITALY and among the Etruscans, Bonzes, Gymnosophists, Chaldeans, & c, This book mixes British Druids, Hebrews(jews)with some quotes/notes/text in Latin/Greek/Hebrew/Egyptian ect. a rare little book

195 pages, + on frontspiece a colour photo of author with belly-dancer (as on DJ) + a number of black and white photograph pages. Dust jacket Good (sealed in) Hard back binding sealed in from new. Contents Very good, clean & tight copy with exception of a few withdrawn Norfolk Library stamps & ref. number to spine & one of the extra endpages at front removed at it must have had library markings on. Jane Dolinger was a young travel writer, This is her fact based research as she spent time meeting & living within a harem in Morocco, This is what she saw & what the girls & staff of the harem told her. . Just the names and place of the Harem have been changed to save all within the Harem from any recriminations. Includes a number of photos taken within the harem, some with author including with full harem clothing with vail. Ex library, this copy has had the dust jacket sealed within plastic with extra end pages sealing it within the book. No foxing on pages

37 single sided Pages ( 57 sepia photograph images), Original imitation crocodile binding lettered in gilt, tied with cord, in fair condition, general/corner/edge wear, with title and A. Kerim Baghdad and Hasso, Bros. Baghdad. Contents good, minor ageing of paper. Inside cover “ To mother with my love B. 1925”. The photogravure plates on heavy paper are good and clean. Printed titles to each below each photo in English within platemark, one has ‘R.A.F. Official Photograph’. First Edition of photographic images by A. Kerim of Baghdad in the early 1920s. Views include: Ashar Creek, Whiteley Bridge Ashar Creek Basrah, Sheikh Gazal Market Ashar Basrah, The Shrine of Sheikh Omar, the Tomb of Sit Hobaida, Kadimain the Holy City, The golden domes and minarets of the Kadimain Mosque, the enterance gate to the Kadimain Mosque,pilgrims with their camels on the way to Kerbala, ancient musical instruments,Ctesiphon as it looks from an aeroplane ‘R.A.F. Official Photograph’ (by the binders mistake there are 2 full page images of this photograph), the Ruins of Babylon- Temple of Marduk, Tenish money changers at Baghdad, An Sheikh, Kurdish Lady in her best costume, a group of Assyrian Mountaineers and lots more. So an incomplete copy of this famous book, undated but either 1923 or 1925. I can bring it to the London Photograph fairs, only if contacted beforehand.

3+ Persian illustration fronispeice + full Title page, (with most of protective tissue paper loose between) +XV ( mostly the life of Omar Khayyam, The Astronomer-Poet of Persia ) +112 pages (that includes 8 pages of "Notes" in middle/before 12 pages of "Notice of Jami's Life" At rear is a 6 page "Meaning of the story" followed by the 5 page "Agenda" at the end. Original quarter leather & maroon buckram binding in Good condition, minor edge wear, and rubbing to leather spine, readable gilt embossed spine (see my scan showing front/spine). Contents mostly very good, clean & tight, No inscriptions, just some light foxing. mostly to 1st few pages front/rear. This being the 4th & last edition of Fitzgerald's translation published during Fitzgerald's life and with his final edit. A very good original copy without any restoration (and original dark grey end pages).
