60 Watts, John George Watts , Robert Barnes & Edmund Morison Wimperis Pictures of English life; after original studies by R. Barnes and E. M. Wimperis, engraved by J. D. Cooper; with descriptive poems by J. G. Watts (folio edition)
London Sampson Low, Son & Marston 1865 First Edition Hard Back Fair/good Folio 28.5 x 37.5cm. Approx
Half title + Title page + 9 single sided pages Poems + 9 single sided pages illustrations. Condition Binding gilt embossed green hardback fair/good with rubbed edges minor staining rear, Contents fair/good, no inscriptions, some light foxing (not bad), staining to top corners not affecting engravings or text, still retaining all 9 tissue guards/pages between each Poem and illustration, also all poems have illustrations around them. From net there seems to have been a small edition too published. Also not too sure if complete, possibly lacks an illustration opposite decorative Title page as has tissue guard. Also saw info online to suggest originally had 10 illustrations, also one site that did not have a copy mentioned 28 pages, but that may be a typing error or the small edition as this copy does no have page numbers. Engraver J D Cooper was James Davis Cooper. Very rare, just found a few copies in Libraries (though not sure they are the same edition/size). To rear endpage has small sticker "Bound by Burn, 37 & 38 Kirby St.". Please note due to large size, may be extra postage for outside the U.K.
