Rare Danish text version , 287 pages ,Part 1 =128 pages & part 2 = 159 pages,both in one Volume. many sories by Balzac, Droz, Alfred de Musset, George Sand og flere samt af Danske Fortfattere..illustrated by Grandville engraved by Breviere.With over one hundred illustrations with animals of all kind in the human (from aligators to frogs & birds & elephants etc.etc.) great fun to see , amazing /amusing humour all through... The 1st full page frontice illustration looks like a self portrait of the artist/Grandville sitting in a corner on a book drawing various birds & a beetle looking /visiting a zoo, full of humans, some humans just sitting around looking bored (great fun).... Original green buckram binding is fair/good,with clear title to spine, just rubbed ( NOsplitting, NO loss ) , Contents tight with light foxing to about half the pages. one 1904 owners name to 1st endpaper.

Browne journeyed throughout Persia.He was the first western academic to meet Baha'u'llah, Prophet-Founder of the Baha'i Faith and contains many references to The Bab, his followers and his martyrdom.One of the finest 19th Century books on the people and culture, this account of a years exploration of Persia ( now Iran) by Edward Granville Brown, lead him to became regarded as a foremost expert on Persia. Facsimile of the 1893 First Edition of Adam and Charles Black.. In the 1980's Time life brought out a series of photographically produced reproductions of important travel books (Classics of Exploration) appears unread.

P art 4 is The Life and Death of John Bunyan late preacher of the Gospel in Bedford 29 pages with a 2 page Elogy by a friend of his + 1 page advert list of books formerly printed for Nathaniel Crouch + 1 page of ads printed for C. Hirch. (& various small decorative illustrations in all 4 parts) 1st 2 parts printed by A.W. for W.Johnston.. 3rd part printed for C. Hirch, and L. Harves, W. Johnston, S. Growder, and B. Law & P. Davey @ various addresses,.. Binding is black poss only early 1800s with wear to edges and dented corners..Contents are mainly clean and readable with some folded corners, some pages too closely croped in re-binding, some scattered minor staining to some pages, the odd minor tear and loss of corner, 2 pages are partly loose,1st Title page/Apology is trimmed side & base with some loss of text.1st full page illustration of Bunyan glued to endpaper. lacks rear endpaper, no foxing ********* one of the earliest on abe and more complete ? *************
