George Durrant and Sons, 1891 First Edition / Limited Edition Original Paper Covers Good Auction catalogue 28 x 43.5cm.approx
14 pages, binding fairly good, aged, edge nicks, rear torn, folding. Contents good, minor ageing, poss auctioneers figures. This is for what looks like the original auctioneers copy of the sales catalogue, green covers 7 pages with details on + double page map/plan with hand colouring of the various lots & owners names to adjacent properties/land. I state looks like the original auctioneers copy as has on lots 1 & 2 what looks like the start price and all other bids to final bid/price with name, Lot 2 states, lot 2 and all other lots will be offered as one lot (and if not sold, to be sold separately) but looks like sold as one as has final price & name, not to others. States 4 miles from Halesworth, 5 from Bungay & 7 from Harleston. From research it all or most was offered for sale in July 1885 by a London firm of auctioneers, Messrs. Lenny and Smith. Well maybe as in London, it did not sell as my 1891 sales details mention Instructed by Representatives of the Late George Durrant, Mrs E.F. Durrant and Mr G.F. Durrant at the Angel Hotel, Halesworth, Suffolk by auctioneers George Durrant and Sons.
